Bryn Cottage - Jill Stein Interior Design
This is the first of its kind for us, a one-bedroom cottage in the heart of Padstow.
Rick wanted to turn an old cottage with a great view down the estuary into somewhere really comfortable with the addition of a well equipped kitchen and a nice secluded garden. I then set about to create a stylish and tranquil environment.
Bryn Cottage was originally a traditional but dark Cornish cottage. My idea was to create an appearance which was both light and spacious. This was achieved through opening up the ceiling upstairs and making use of neutral colours to lighten the areas. I also turned the cottage upside down so we could make better use of space, by doing this it allowed me to have a much larger bathroom where I could have a free-standing bath and a wet room.
