Rick and Jill become landlords of The Cornish Arms
It's confirmed! We have taken on the tenancy of The Cornish Arms at St Merryn. We are very excited about this, The Cornish Arms is a truly special pub which has been our local for many years, it's a bit like the famous Remington electric razor ad, ‘we liked it so much we bought the company', in fact we haven't of course, we're just tenants, but the thought of running a local pub, building up a good bar trade and adding good, simple British pub food is very satisfying.
We're also looking forward to working with St Austell brewery, a highly regarded and successful Cornish company; personally I'm keen to develop the matching of good beer with food.
