St Edmunds House - Jill Stein Interior Design
St Edmunds House was bought in September 2000 and opened as luxury accommodation with six spacious bedrooms on June 1st 2001.
The building was originally spilt into two houses, so it wasn't until the both came up for sale that we were able to buy.
St Edmunds is all about the seaside. The rooms have a cool, minimalist feel with solid oak flooring, double french doors with American shutters, diftwood signs displaying the room names - all of which have been named after a local surfing beach.
The four-poster, cherry wood beds were commissioned from Ken Leiman, a cabinetmaker from Natal, South Africa, who flew to the UK with the beds to assemble them himself. The bar and TV units were made to my design by Tim Jones of Wadebridge and I also commissioned the photographer Craig Easton to take a series of black and white photographs especially for St Edmunds House.
