Steins Fish & Chips reviews
"Precisely cooked fish, crunchy batter and dripping-cooked chips" - all at "good value" prices - win acclaim for "the cheapest option in Rick's empire"; "ambience? - we always sit on the quayside and, it's always a joy"
Harden’s UK restaurant survey 2012
Yes it's pricey but this 'Padstein' stalwart, first opened in 2004 (and now with another branch in Falmouth) is the real deal. Fish is really high quality, the menu is more imaginative than that of most chippies (locally caught squid anyone?) and the setting is stylish and inviting.
The 50 best Fish and Chip Shops, The Independent, 2011
White-tiled shop on the harbour front with a huge choice of fish (battered or grilled) served with luxury homemade tartar sauce, aioli and even Goan curry sauce. Fish and chips don't get much smarter than this.
