The Cornish Arms at St Merryn

We're settling into our tenancy at The Cornish Arms things are going quite well. The locals were a bit concerned we were going to close it for a few weeks and reopen as a gastro-pub but that's absolutely not our intention.
Our head chef at the Cornish, Julian Lloyd, who has worked for us for over 10 years now, has settled in and the simple British pub menu is going down well with the locals and visitors.
We're very happily tenants of St Austell brewery. Their beers have improved massively over the last few years mostly down to head brewer, Roger Ryman, Tribute, Tinners, HSD and Proper Job, these are some really special cask ales. I'm also working on a couple of recipes to go with their bottled beer, Clouded Yellow will be a great alternative to our own beer with food Chalky's Bark and Chalky's Bite.
Finally the pool, darts and euchre teams are thriving and we're looking forward to skittles in the alley in the field next to the church this summer.
