The Seafood Restaurant wins Business of the Year

The Seafood Restaurant has won the top prize at the first Western Morning News Business Awards, against competition from Plymouth-based Burts Chips and Exeter-based Flybe.
The award is for profitable, growing businesses that have had a positive impact on the Westcountry’s economy. The judges also showed interested in innovative products, services and processes as well as expansion into new markets and different areas of business activity.
The prize was one of 14 handed out last night at an event at St Mellion International which celebrated the best businesses in the Westcountry.
WMN editor Alan Qualtrough said: "The aim of our awards was to celebrate the Westcountry's business talent and innovation and all of the winners should feel very proud of their achievements."
Winners received a unique piece of art created by University College Falmouth students Hannah Batstone and Rhiannon Palmer.
