Farmers Markets
We have listed only those regular farmers markets that are members of the National Association of Farmers Markets. This is because these markets operate within the guidelines laid out by the NAFM, meaning that you can be more confident that the produce you buy is local (typically from within a 30 mile radius); that all produce has been grown, reared, caught, brewed, baked, or smoked by the stall holder, and that you will be able to speak to someone on the stall who is directly involved in the production of what you are buying. These guidelines bring benefits to the local economy, by supporting local farmers and food producers, and to the environment, by minimising 'food miles'.
