Rick Stein’s famous recipes
Established by Rick Stein and Jill Stein in 1975, The Seafood Restaurant is famous for establishing an international reputation for imaginative cooking of the very freshest fish and shellfish.
We have a seafood bar right in the middle of the restaurant where you can watch chefs assembling platters of oysters, langoustines and sashimi. No reservations are required for the bar and you can order anything from the a la carte menu.
Fresh fish and seafood
Our menu uses the freshest fish and seafood that is often landed right here on our doorstep by local fishermen.
Our head chef, Stephane Delourme and his team create simple seafood dishes with fresh and classic flavours using Rick Stein’s famous recipes.
Inspiration from Rick’s travels
Over the years the menu has developed and you can expect to see dishes such as; fresh oysters and langoustines, mussels, turbot, dover sole, lobsters and sashimi. Plus we also have fish dishes from Goa, Thailand and Bali as well as classic French dishes like lobster thermidor and bourride together with some of Rick’s own creations like a casserole of brill with cep mushrooms.
Designed by Jill Stein, the restaurant offers a vibrant and relaxed atmosphere with its blonde wood floor, white walls, contemporary art and tables dressed in white linen.
Our extensive wine list is handpicked by Rick Stein and his team of sommeliers who have chosen some of the best wines from around the world and from right here in Cornwall.
Stay at The Seafood Restaurant
We also have 16 guest rooms available at The Seafood restaurant, all beautifully designed by Jill Stein and some with private rooftop terraces and views over the Camel Estuary. Prices start from £150 per room, per night including breakfast.
