In this adventure, Rick embarked on a spectacular journey through India’s sub-continent in search of recipe inspiration and the perfect curry.

Rick started his Indian adventure in Calcutta exploring street food and enjoying Kati rolls, coconut prawn curry, egg curry and his mother’s British raj curry.

Episode 2 started in Mumbai with a beautiful squid curry before trying pau bhaji, chicken and apricot curry, salmon masala curry and a surprisingly perfect Madras fish curry.

Episode 3 started in Madurai (formerly Madura), the second largest city in the state of Timil Nadu. Rick’s favourite dishes included tamarind rice, Chettinad chicken from the Taj Gateway hotel, a sweet milk pudding with vermicelli, Amma’s pork curry and the Cochin first-class railway mutton curry.

Episode 4 saw Rick discovering Lucknow and the food of the Nawabs with dishes including Nimish, Rocky’s chicken korma, shami kebabs and paneer jalfrezi.

Rick’s Indian adventure continued in Deogarh, Pushkar and Jaipur in episode 5. Dishes included chicken and rosewater biryani, aloo gobi, potato and cauliflower curry and kidney bean curry, but that highlight was when Rick met the Dalai Lama.

In episode 6, Rick relived his India adventure and his discovery of culinary colour and spice.  Rick also revealed his perfect curry.
