Best Chef at The Trencherman’s Awards 2017

We’re excited to share the news that our Head Chef at The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, Stephane Delourme, won Best Chef at The Trencherman’s Awards! The ceremony, which celebrated everything that’s great about food and drink in the south west, took place on Monday 7th November at Saunton Sands Hotel in Devon.

The awards, including Best Chef, Best Restaurant, Best Front of House Team and Best Dining Pub, were voted for by over 10,000 foodie members of the public. Stephane was up against chefs from restaurants like Casamia, Gidleigh Park, Olivers and many more, so to come out on top is a wonderful achievement. Stephane has been Head Chef at The Seafood for over 16 years and his passion for cooking is shared with a love of the fresh Cornish produce that is available to him in Cornwall, as well as great local suppliers. Using this network of suppliers, he works closely with Rick and Jack Stein to develop new dishes and menus for The Seafood Restaurant.
