January in Porthleven

13th Jan 2017

With its dark mornings, early evenings and chilly weather, January doesn’t tend to be the most enticing month of the year. However, our beautiful Cornish towns and villages still manage to look beautiful, even on grey and stormy days. The waves crashing on the beach and the sound of the wind rushing up the coastline creates such a dramatic and moody scene. Grab your chunky coats and embrace the cold weather, because these are the days that are perfect for winter walks, hot mugs of tea and a Sunday roast. Take a look for yourself…

We were in porthleven in Sept last year & had a fabulous time. Having had lunch at the padstow restaurant, we were surprised to learn there was another RS restaurant here too. We have been watching the RS journey Venice to Istanbul back home in Australia on tv, so that’s the next trip we have planned for 2018. In the meantime we shall try to get to the local RS restaurant south of Sydney called Bannisters. Cheers.
