1st Mar 2016
Struggling to find the perfect treat to show your deserving mum just how special she is? Don’t panic! We’ve put together our top five Mother’s Day experiences we have on offer this March.
Sunset suppers at Fistral Beach
Perfect for: Relaxed mums that love the sea
It doesn’t get much better than an evening at Rick Stein Fistral – if the weather is on your side, take a walk along one of the best surfing beaches to work up your appetite before tucking into classic fish and chips with creamy tartare sauce – or if the beach has left you dreaming of more exotic climates, order form our curry kitchen.
Offer: Enjoy 2 curries, chapatis, sides and a Cornish beer for two for £19.95
Sunday roasts at Porthleven harbour
Perfect for: A leisurely lunch with picturesque views
Lovely little fishing boats bobbing up and down in the harbour act as a backdrop to our local and seasonal roast dinners at our restaurant in Porthleven. Our slow roasted beef melts in your mouth with lashings of rich gravy and of course, a Yorkshire pudding. Complement your meal with a nice bottle of red wine, or if you’re really treating mum, a bottle of Cornish Camel Valley sparkling.
Offer: Sunday roast from £12.95 between 12noon – 3pm
Pad Thai in Padstow
Perfect for: a cosy lunch with some world food flavours
Our café on Middle street is bursting with Asian inspired flavours to impress mum. From pad Thai noodles with a chilli kick, to locally landed fish and some of Rick’s favourite curry recipes. Our cosy café is just a few minutes away from Padstow harbour – you could even catch a ferry across to Rock if you’re feeling adventurous.
Offer: 3 courses for £23.50 for lunch or dinner
Seaview set lunches in Sandbanks
Perfect for: Those who want to make a day of it
We can’t possibly describe the view from our restaurant in Dorset, we’ll just let it speak for itself – go on, take a look here. As well as these stunning views, we have a fab set lunch menu including Amritsari fish, grilled miso salmon and decadent chocolate pavé. We recommend teaming with a stroll along the stunning beach across the road, or a few cocktails at our bar to get you in the mood for the sunset.
Offer: 3 courses for £25 every Monday – Friday from 12noon – 3pm
Picnics and pasties from Stein’s Deli
Perfect for: an impromptu picnic on the coast
Pop into Stein’s Deli and pick up freshly baked bread, pasties and pastries, made right here in Padstow. You can also tuck in to our deli bar complete with Cornish cheeses and meats as well as crab meat for a deliciously simple sandwich. Pack your deli delights into your bag and take a trip on foot around the coastal path to Trevone.
An evening at Events Square
Perfect for: gluten free mums
Falmouth is beautiful this time of the year, a collection of beaches to choose from. a buzzing high street and some fabulous coastal walks. If your mum loves fish and chips but doesn’t eat gluten, you’re in luck! We have gluten free options not only with your fish and chips favourites, but also on our a la carte menu too at Rick Stein’s Fish in Falmouth.
