We asked them to nominate someone in their team or around the company for the first of our 2022 Stein’s Value Hero Awards, who they throught best represented our values and to share an example of them living our values on a daily basis.

The overall winner

Were very proud to announce our overall winner of our Stein’s Value Hero Award goes to Edyta Zera

Edyta was promoted to breakfast supervisor at The Seafood Restaurant a few months ago and has done an incredible job to drive improvement in standards and the guest experience. She goes out of her way to support her colleagues and shows real care for the team she works in. Congratulations to Edyta, very well deserved and enjoy your prize – stay and dinner at Lympstone Manor.

Meet all the winners

Generosity of Spirit: Edyta Zera (The Seafood Restaurant)

Edyta comes into work every day smiling and happy. She is always looking at how to go the extra mile and uses her own time to make training sheets to help for the rest of the staff.

Sometimes I ask myself, how does she manage to always stay positive and self-driven day in day out. A true spirit to our team and company.

Continuous Improvement: Amy Pender (Seafood Bar and Fishmongers)

Amy has great drive a determination to become the next Master Fishmonger in the business – striving to learn and improve in all areas.

Amy strives to learn and improve in all areas. She’s very passionate about her fish displays, developing her filleting skills and improving her knowledge of all species.

Team Spirit: Connor Higginson (Maintenance)

Connor is hard working, positive and keen to better himself. Nothing is too much trouble and always offers to help.

Connor is always helpful and willing to learn, not afraid to ask questions and always has a positive can-do attitude. A great role model within our team.

Fair and Honest: Charlotte Rosier (Marlborough)

Charlotte is always there to listen and help with any frustrations and challenges, whilst also helping to find new and creative ways to improve our business for both the team and our guests.

Charlotte is a marvel in my eyes. Our restaurant manager not only has four girls and a husband at home, but she also somehow managers to look after the whole team at work too.
