Senior Waitress at Rick Stein, Marlborough
Senior Waitress Emily has been with us since we first opened our doors in Marlborough back in the autumn of 2016. Her enthusiasm for great service and taking the lead with in-house training was recently rewarded at our annual team party, receiving an Exceptional Contribution Award from the Steins – and boy are we proud to have her in Marlborough.
After being brought up in London and studying Performing Arts at college, which coincidentally was great experience for working in hospitality and the magic of service, she and her family moved to Marlborough about 20 years ago. Since then she’s had various front of house roles, including Assistant Manager at a local foodie pub and worked part time as a Teaching Assistant at St Mary’s Primary School at the same time as volunteering as a Beaver and Explorer Scout Leader too – two roles she loved before the opportunity came about to join our team.
Giving customers a great experience and making people happy through food, drink and fab service is what makes her tick, so the chance to be part of our opening team was perfect for Emily – especially as a keen foodie herself. Her top recommendation from our menu, which also happens to be Rick’s favourite too is turbot hollandaise – the king of the sea paired with delightful sauce.
When she’s not at work, Emily loves exploring the outdoors with her family – especially places like the Marlborough Downs, Avebury and Stonehenge and is always on the hunt for the latest gin to sample – somewhat of a G&T aficionado.
