Join us for an evening at Rick Stein’s Cookery School where Rick will be exclusively demonstrating his favourite dishes from his TV travels. The evening begins at 7pm and includes a tasting of all the dishes that Rick will demonstrate with some lovely wines.
Octopus alla Glorijet
This octopus dish is just a simple tomato sauce with some new potatoes, capers and, surprisingly, samphire. The octopus is boiled, sliced and fried, then the sauce is added to it. Very satisfying.
Bucatini in salsa
This pasta, onion and anchovy dish demonstrates how understated, but how incredibly good, the cooking of Venice is. Try it and you will see what I mean.
I have written recipes for seafood risotto before, but never made it with the distinctive mix of spices so particular to Venice, which I call a Byzantine spice mix. As with all my mixed seafood dishes, this is made up of all the ingredient I like.
The evening begins at 7pm with a glass of wine. Watch Rick demonstrate three of his favourite dishes from his latest adventure with a few glasses of wine along the way as well as tales of his adventures around the world.
