Join us for a tasting evening hosted by Jack Stein and Laura Hicks, trainee beer sommelier and beer brand marketing manager from St Austell Brewery, who both know a thing or two about great food and beer.
The evening will feature tasters of dishes created by Jack Stein and will all be matched with St Austell Brewery’s most-celebrated Cornish beers – as well as a few limited edition ones from the Small Batch range too.
Jack and Laura will introduce each tasting course with a different matched beer.
Coupled with Jack’s guidance on the selected dishes, Laura will introduce diners to a broad spectrum of beer styles. There will be the chance to learn more about how the nuanced flavours in ales and lagers can be the perfect pairing to a range of dishes.
Founded in 1851, by Walter Hicks, St Austell Brewery is known to be one of the oldest businesses in Cornwall and is independent and family-owned. Alongside St Austell Brewery’s well-known family of beers, the company has more than 175 pubs in its south west pub estate – including The Cornish Arms.
