Photography competition 2014

Cornwall’s countryside and coastline is full of inspiration for budding photographers and we want to see how you capture this on camera.

With more and more of you taking photographs with cameras and smartphones, we’re encouraging you to submit your best photos to win one of our fantastic prizes. We’re lucky enough to have it all, from rugged cliff top views to calm green pastures and tasty treats for all the family as inspiration.

There are three photography categories as part of the competition:

The categories are:

·         Padstow’s Coast & Country

·         Instagram – #GetCooking

·         Postcards from Falmouth

Padstow’s Coast & Country (winners will be drawn at the end of the competition)

Prize:  Seafood Cookery Break when you and a friend will stay in one of our beautiful guest rooms and enjoy a one-day cookery course at Padstow Seafood School.

Runners up prizes: 2 x £100 vouchers for Whistlefish Galleries

For this category we want to see how you spend your time in the countryside or by the coast in Padstow.

Instagram – #GetCooking (monthly prize)

Prize: Signed copy of Rick Stein’s India

For this category we want to see your Rick Stein inspired dishes. Tag in ‘TheSeafood’ and hashtag #GetCooking to enter.

Postcards from Falmouth (monthly prize)

Prize: 3-course dinner for two people and a bottle of house wine at Rick Stein’s Fish, Falmouth

For this category we want to see what you love about Falmouth.

Each month we will upload a selection of photos to our Facebook & Pinterest page.

The photos will be judged by both Rick and Jill.

Competition closes on Tuesday 30^th September 2014.

How to enter:

Photograph entries

Please submit your photo/s by email [email protected]

Images must be in JPEG format and between 1MB – 2MB.

Please include the category title in the email subject.

Please provide a short description of the picture, your name and where the photo was taken.

Instagram entries

Please tag in ‘TheSeafood’ and include the hashtag #GetCooking

Please provide a short description of the picture/dish.

Terms and conditions

You must be the photographer and owner of the copyright for any image.

Please respect the privacy of others and seek our permission of anyone included in your entries.

The Seafood Restaurant Ltd assumes no responsibility for possible fraud committed by any contestant.  The Seafood Restaurant Ltd reserves the right to remove or disqualify any entry at any time at our discretion.

By submitting images, the photographer grants permission to The Seafood Restaurant Ltd to display or use submissions in any promotional material free of charge.

The overnight stay and dinner at The Seafood Restaurant are subject to availability at the time of booking. The prize will need to be taken before 27th March 2015 and excludes 20^th December 2014 – 4^th January 2015 inclusive.
