Join us Rick Stein, Sandbanks for a series of themed, hour long masterclasses with our chefs. At each masterclass you’ll discover hints and tips to make your life easier in the kitchen and enjoy plenty of tasters along the way.

Join us for a special masterclass in collaboration with Nyetimber, ahead of the Nyetimber Dorset Seafood Festival taking place from 13th – 14th July.

Steffan Griffiths, brand ambassador for Nyetimber, will host a tasting and talk through a selection of their English sparkling wines, with our Head Chef Pete Murt, preparing freshly shucked oysters as the perfect accompaniment.

Meet our Head Chef, Pete Murt

Our Head Chef, Pete Murt is Padstow born and bred, which is where his passion for cooking the freshest seafood started. He joined our team at St Petroc’s Bistro in 2000 as Kitchen Porter and then progressed up to Chef de Partie before moving to our flagship The Seafood Restaurant as Sous Chef. Then came a two-year adventure in London working with Claude Bosi at his 2 Michelin starred restaurant Hibiscus, before returning to Stein’s as Head Chef when we opened here in Sandbanks in 2015. Three years on and his drive and desire to serve the highest quality food is stronger than ever.
