This beautiful ceramic design, inspired by the land and seascape of Cornish coves, was the winning entry in a competition Rick Stein launched to final year design students at Falmouth University, Cornwall to create his new tabletop collection.
Coves from north Cornwall have been hand-painted in watercolour showing the depth and colour variations in the sea. The clean design and form of bone china complements the subtly changing shades of each cove resulting in a unique and highly collectible range of coastal tableware.
This 2 litre water jug features Daymer Bay and comes gift boxed. Rick’s memory of Daymer Bay:
“I can’t walk along the sands here without thinking of John Betjeman and ‘sand in the sandwiches, wasps in the tea’.”
The jug holds 2 litres of water and has a diameter of 13cm. It is suitable for use in a dishwasher.
