Panoramic Views of Poole Harbour

Our Sandbanks restaurant is the perfect spot to enjoy classically prepared fish and shellfish in a relaxing environment with the most special views of Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island.

This peaceful coastal setting was made for long, leisurely seafood lunches with classics like whole Dover sole with lashings of beurre noisette, lobster thermidor and chips or our fruits de mer platter, which just so happens to be highly photogenic. Evenings are possibly the most spectacular time to dine though, with the added theatre of sunset over the harbour on show for everyone to marvel at whilst enjoying the Sandbanks experience.

Bar Dining

For a more casual meal or if you’ve got a dog in tow, choose a table in our bar dining space, which offers our full á la carte menu. Impromptu, post beach visits are always welcome in our bar, where we offer a wide range of cocktails and drinks – Charlie approved, of course – just the ticket with a few small plates of padron peppers and halloumi saganaki.

Chargrilled Trout with Chive Dressing
Inspired by a successful night fishing trip on the River Towy, Rick paired the much-underused trout with a lively chive dressing. Very nice indeed.

Salt Cod Fish Cakes
The delightful combination of salt cod fish cakes and a good spoonful of aioli might transport you to the Spanish coast somewhere. But no, the recipe for this fab dish was discovered near Bristol at a café called Houria during Rick’s Food Stories travels. We rather like a plate or two to share for the table as an appetiser.
