Rick Stein’s Charity Lunches 2022

21.03.2022

We’re very proud to announce that recent charity lunches at four of our restaurants raised £10,000.

Our head chefs crafted three course menus of Rick’s much-loved dishes for guests to choose from whilst supporting important local causes. A donation of £2.50 per person was added to their bill, with 100% of the money, plus an extra contribution from us, going straight to the charity.

The most popular dishes from this year’s charity menus celebrated the freshest catch from around the coast, of course – including sweet-cured Cornish sardines, grilled hake with laska noodles and a fab fish cake recipe from Rick’s Secret France travels.

In Padstow, The Seafood Restaurant and St Petroc’s Bistro raised a total of £8,800 for St Petrocs Society, a cause close to our hearts in Cornwall. St Petrocs Society are working to end homelessness in Cornwall and we feel very lucky to be able to support them.

Our team in Marlborough received £700 in donations for the Amber Foundation. Supporting vulnerable young people, the Amber Foundation, assists those in need to transform their lives out of homelessness and into bright and secure futures.

On the high street in Winchester we raised a total of £500 for the Murray Parish Trust, who support children’s emergency services across the South of England. The trust ensures children get the possible emergency care and benefits all of us in the South of England.

Charity lunches will return to Rick Stein Sandbanks and Rick Stein Barnes later in the autumn and we’re looking forward to charity coffee mornings and other events to help the local communities around our restaurants too. Follow us on Instagram or Facebook to stay up to date with all the news.
