Success at Cornwall Tourism Awards 2016

4th Nov 2016

After a great evening celebrating with a host of Cornish businesses and suppliers  on Thursday 4th November, we were delighted to win an award at the annual Cornwall Tourism Awards for the second year in a row: Gold for Padstow Seafood School in the Artistic, Cultural and Learning Experience.

Now in their 15th year, the awards have 25 categories, reflecting the ever-increasing diversity of the industry. The ceremony at the Headland Hotel, Newquay, featured an entertaining presentation from lyricist and cricket enthusiast Sir Tim Rice who shared anecdotes from his collaborations with Andrew Lloyd Webber and Elton John.

Nick Evans, Head Chef of our cookery school, and his team we at the awards, and we’re over the moon to win such a special prize years in a row. Can we make it a hat trick in 2017?

We will now go on to represent Cornwall in the South West Tourism Awards and, if successful, go through to the national Visit England Awards for Excellence 2017.
